Overview

Earth Sciences Engineering students at the University of Miskolc are trained to manage situations in creative ways, to plan and complete mineral exploration projects, and to apply the pioneering exploration methods and techniques.

The Earth sciences engineering, focusing on applied geology and geophysics is closely linked to mineral exploration and development in different fields of extractive industries: hydrocarbon, metallic minerals, industrial minerals, aggregates. Since the extractive industry is among the most globalized ones in our time, this training program gives a great advantage if the graduates learn and practice the subjects in the generally accepted language of profession, in English.
The expected area of utilization of professional qualifications is represented by mining and exploration companies, research institutes and specialized authorities that deal with the management, planning and regulation of mineral raw materials. In addition to the knowledge of earth sciences, the strong engineering training makes the students graduating here to be specialized in mineral exploration and exploitation as well as supervision of the applied earth science directions and technologies.

Official copy of High School final exam certificate (in English)

BSc in geology, geophysics, earth sciences, mining engineering, petroleum engineering, environmental sciences, environmental engineering (English transcription of the degree)

Official copy of the language examination certificate (minimum level: B2) OR an official document, issued by the previous university, confirming that the language of instruction was English
Successful online entry exam

Medical certificate, vaccination card and HIV test (not earlier than 3 months prior to application)
