Lund University’s Master of Science in Strategic Communication aims to develop independent, critical and creative communication strategists with the will and determination to work and succeed on the highest management levels.

Overview

If your answer is “yes”, the Master of Science Programme in Strategic Communication from Lund University is the programme for you! 

Teaching is characterized by a mixture of lectures, case study work in Groups, and theoretical study and discussion in seminars. The courses are challenging and develop students from a number of different perspectives. Some are highly demanding from theoretical point of view, others are challenging from a practical point of view. In many courses, students work in teams solving complex projects and presenting the results to different stakeholders. The programme is distinguished by a strong base in international research in Strategic Communication as well as close links to industry players in business and society. Learning is enriched by guest lecturers from academia and practice

Strategic communication professionals are employed in the private sector, the public sector and the non-profit sector. Graduates are employed as corporate and strategic communication specialists. The degree offers the necessary conceptual skills for managerial careers in organisational communication, public relations, marketing and brand communication and related positions in a variety of contexts.

General requirements

  • A Bachelor´s degree in Social Sciences, Humanities or Economics and Management including 90 credits in Strategic Communication, Media and Communication studies, Journalism, Marketing, Organizations Studies or equivalent. English 6/English course B
  • The applicant's estimated capacity to complete the programme is the major overall criterion for selection. Students are selected according to previous study results (grades on courses and degree project in the BA degree), proficiency in English and a letter of intent.
