Overview
Aerospace Engineering - Professional Focus in Aerospace Engineering program's goal is clear : to train engineers specialised in aeronautical and space technologies and prepare them for international careers. The Aerospace Engineering program from University of Liège therefore teaches you to master cutting-edge techniques in mechanics and computer simulation of the physical phenomena related to the field. The training focuses on the knowledge required to join an engineering team and, more specifically, on advanced knowledge in aerodynamics, continuous media, structural analysis (static, dynamic, thermal and fluid mechanics), CAD (Computer-Aided Design), materials and means of propulsion.
All students also have the opportunity, upon selection, to benefit from the TIME program. This network of more than 50 engineering schools allows students to obtain a second master's degree by extending their studies by one year.
Career
The professional opportunities for Engineers in Aeronautics are varied and many.
As evidenced by the many companies in the field located in Belgium, Wallonia has built an outstanding reputation in the aeronautics and space sectors.
European integration also opens up many opportunities to graduates interested in a career in aeronautics or space. A good number of former students have already decided to make their careers in Europe's largest consortia. However, not all the students on the course are necessarily destined for the aerospace sector, and so the programme continues to promote a broad education in advanced technology rather than favour a programme which is too specific. This greatly facilitates graduates' entry into the various electro-mechanical, non-aerospatial industries as well.
