Introducing the AMRD programme

The Advanced Mineral Resource Development programme of TU Bergakademie Freiberg provides students with knowledge and skills for independent scientific work in the field of environmentally friendly mining and mining rehabilitation from a business management perspective. The program combines natural sciences, engineering and economics. Studying at the three partner universities promotes the acquisition of intercultural competence, a key qualification for management personnel in globally active raw materials companies.

With the master's thesis, students demonstrate that they are able to collect relevant information on their subject area, develop it creatively and thereby arrive at new insights. Their scientific competencies enable them to assume leadership responsibilities. Students will be motivated to critically examine methods and procedures in the field. They should be aware of the responsibility they have through their knowledge and activities to contribute to addressing societal and global human problems from the perspective of sustainability and environmental impact.

Proof of academic degree (BSc certificate) and study records (Transcript of Records): the minimum requirement is a Bachelor´s degree with a study duration of at least 7 semesters or with 210 achieved ECTS.
