Overview

The Solicitors Legal Practice course at The University of Lancashire will give you the tools to prepare for the SQE 1 and SQE 2 assessments. The programme offers a highly practical learning environment, designed to prepare you for a career as a solicitor.

The pathway options will expand your legal knowledge outside the functioning legal knowledge required by the SQE. You'll focus on issues such as immigration, employment and intellectual property (subject to module availability).

What you'll do

You'll study core law modules that replicate the Solicitors Qualifying Examination Functioning Legal Knowledge.

You will develop all the skills and knowledge required to become a solicitor.

You'll further extend your legal knowledge outside the requirements outlined in the Solicitors Qualifying Examination.

Accreditation

This course is validated by the Solicitors Regulation Authority, the regulatory body for solicitors in England and Wales. They set the Principles and a Code of Conduct that professionals have to abide by in order to provide legal services.
