Graduate Outcomes
Upon graduation, a UOB graduate in M.Sc. in Information Technology program should demonstrate:
- An ability to apply the knowledge of computing and IT appropriate to the discipline.
- An ability to analyze challenging problems, and identify and define the computing requirements appropriate for their solutions that meet appropriate computing standards and realistic constraints.
- An ability to effectively identify and analyze user needs and take them into account in the selection, creation, evaluation and administration of computer-based systems.
- An ability to design, implement, and evaluate a system, process, component, or program to meet desired needs using best practices and standards, within realistic constraints such as economic, environmental, social, ethical, health and safety, etc.
- An ability to function effectively in a team by assuming different roles and demonstrating effective leadership qualities and project management skills to accomplish a common goal towards a significant project.
- An ability to assess professional, ethical, legal, security and social issues and responsibilities.
- An Ability to communicate effectively both verbally and in writing with a range of audiences.
- An ability to engage in continuing professional development and life-long learning.
- An ability to acquire, critically evaluate and apply a wide range of advanced and specialized techniques, skills and tools necessary for IT practice.
- An ability to conduct research, individually and in a team.

General requirements
- The applicant must have a bachelor degree in IT, IT-related field, engineering or science with sufficient IT background from the University of Bahrain or an equivalent degree from a recognized university with a GPA of at least (2.67) on a 4-point scale
- Students seeking admission to the program have to pass an entrance examination
- The student must attend and pass a personal interview
- The student must present two recommendations letters
- The student must satisfy the English proficiency requirements of the University for Master Program admission
- A student having deficiency in IT background required for the Master program may have to take up to three undergraduate-level courses
