Electrical Engineering Graduate Degree Highlights
World-class research and technology development. In the Electrical Engineering program of The University of Toledo you can work with renowned engineering faculty in UToledo’s cutting-edge labs, some of which are funded by the National Science Foundation. Students also have access to the latest computer equipment and design software, including Cadence, Xilinx Vivado, MatLab, Synopsis Saber, Synopsis Sentaurus and more.
Industry collaboration. There’s no better way to learn how to apply what you learn than through solving real-world problems. Our Industrial Partnerships program fosters cooperation with industry through joint research projects, symposia and short courses.
Entrepreneurship and technology commercialization. Our industrial partnerships are supported by UToledo’s LaunchPad incubation program. Startup companies work with UToledo faculty and students to bring next-generation technologies to the marketplace.
Financial assistance. Master’s and doctoral students are eligible for stipends and tuition waivers by earning fellowships, as well as research and teaching assistantships.
Accelerated study. High-performing students in the electrical engineering master’s program have the unique opportunity to transfer to the Ph.D. program before finishing their master’s degree.
Nearly all of UToledo master’s and Ph.D. graduates in our electrical engineering program have landed employment or enrolled in doctoral programs.
