Overview
At Community Health Sciences from University of Manitoba students entering the graduate program come from diverse backgrounds, including the social sciences, basic sciences, and clinical areas (medicine, nursing, rehabilitation, dentistry). Students also enter the graduate program through the undergraduate Interdisciplinary Health Program, which has been moved into the Rady Faculty of Health Sciences, and which offers Bachelor of Health Sciences and Bachelor of Health Studies degrees.
Students at Community Health Sciences from University of Manitoba will:
- gain knowledge in epidemiology, biostatistics and the social sciences as applied to health (anthropology, economics, sociology and political science),
- obtain advanced training in internationally recognized research programs conducted by specialized units within the department such as the Manitoba Centre for Health Policy, and the Centre for Global Public Health.
- have the opportunity to access both internationally regarded researchers and award winning teachers.
