Description
This scholarship was created in 2011 by Edna Bazik to help provide financial support for students planning to become mathematics educators. At the time of the establishment of this scholarship she was a mathematics teacher, consultant, author, and associate professor of mathematics education at National Louis University. As a result of her outstanding commitment to excellence in teaching, she has received numerous awards and honors, including induction into the Illinois State University College of Education Hall of Fame in 2002.

Eligibility
- This scholarship requires a student to have a Financial Need to be eligible to receive the scholarship. In order to establish "Financial Need", a student must file the Free Application for Federal Student Aid (FAFSA).
- Plans to teach Mathematics in the grades of 6-12 (middle school and/or high school)
