Description
As the Geography and Geology Department’s oldest existing scholarship, an endowment was established by students, faculty and friends in appreciation of Mark Jefferson, who served as head of the Geography Department from 1901–1939.

Eligibility
- Senior who plans to do graduate work in geography.
- Other factors being equal, student who has completed all work for geography major.
- Must receive the unanimous approval of staff members of the Geography Department who have completed two years of service at EMU.
