Description
The Social Work Diversity and Community Engagement Scholarship was established by Mikyong Kim-Goh and Francis Goh to recognize graduate students within the Department of Social Work who have demonstrated engagement and leadership in diverse communities.

Eligibility
- This scholarship is open to continuing enrolled students in the Department of Social Work who are pursuing a graduate degree. Both full-time and flex program students are eligible.
- Students must have a GPA of 3.5 or above and be in good academic standing
- Students must have completed at least 15 units toward MSW degree for the full-time program or 9 units for the flex program
- Active and sustained engagement in diverse communities (e.g., ethnicity, gender, sexual orientation, etc.)
- 500-word essay describing personal experience in diverse communities and motivation to serve the underserved populations
- Preference will be given to students who demonstrate financial need through the application process.
