Description
The Terry Hynes Scholarship was endowed by Terry Hynes, former chair of CSUF’s Department of Communications and dean emerita at the University of Florida College of Journalism and Communications.

Eligibility
This scholarship is open to students who meet the following criteria:
- Senior student (Undergraduate)
- Must be a declared major in Communications
- Must have at least one semester enrollment remaining at Cal State Fullerton and be enrolled in the full 2026-2027 academic year
Recipients will be selected based on exceptional academic achievement and service to the department:
- Must be in the top 10% of their class and be academically eligible for Kappa Tau Alpha (KTA) membership (the national college honor society for journalism and mass communication).
- Must have made significant contributions to the Communications Department through leadership and extracurricular activities.
