The Brite Ideas by Greg & Julie Christy Scholarship for Lighting Design was established by Greg and Julie Christy to benefit a lighting design student, graduate or undergraduate.

Eligibility

This scholarship is open to students who meet the following criteria:

  • Technical Theatre and Design major student
  • Undergraduate or Graduate student (incoming or continuing)
  • Enrolled full-time at CSUF for Fall 2026
  • Minimum 3.0 GPA
  • Must demonstrate an emphasis in lighting design

Criteria - Applicants will be evaluated based on:

  • Creative Achievement in Lighting Design
  • Academic achievement (GPA)

Complete the Fall 2026 CSUF Scholarship Application within the Titan Scholarship Portal.

In the Short Essay Questions section:

Your essay should specifically articulate your experience and potential in lighting design by detailing:

Specific production experience (e.g., titles of shows, roles, or designs completed for theatre, dance, or concerts).

How these design experiences have prepared you for a professional career.
