Description

Each year the ANU College of Arts and Social Sciences ('the College') may offer an award known as the ANU Art Collection Scholarship ('the Award'). The objectives of the Award are to promote the development, study and care of the ANU Art Collection, under the joint guidance of the Drill Hall Gallery team and CASS academics, and to support talented ANU Masters students throughout their internship year undertaken at this renowned arts institution. Funding for this Award has been provided by Andrew Dyer and Donna-Marie Kelly, who are dedicated to supporting the arts and improving career pathways for emerging arts professionals.

Benefits

A tuition fee waiver of up to $7,000 for the internship courses plus $5,000 award per semester for two semesters.

Eligibility

The Award is available each year to a current postgraduate ANU student who is:

  • a domestic or international student; and
  • studying a Masters in Art History and Curatorial Practice or a Master in Museum and Heritage Studies at the College.
  • enrolled in the two relevant six-unit internship courses, equivalent to a one year internship, for placement at the Drill Hall Gallery, ANU.

First Nations applicants are strongly encouraged to apply and will be given preference in any order of merit created for this award, although it is also open to non-Indigenous applicants. Experience working with First Nations communities and collections will also be highly regarded, although is not essential.
