Description

University of York can support you financially if you are admitted to one of its study programmes as an international student.

University of York awards scholarships, bursaries, tuition fee reductions and discounts that help you cover existing tuition and living costs. 

Benefits

Full tuition fee plus living stipend

 

 

Eligibility

Open to International (including EU) and International (non-EU) students.

  • Be a citizen of a Chevening-eligible country or territory
  • Hold an undergraduate degree that qualifies you for a York Masters programme
  • Have at least two years' work experience (including voluntary work), acquired after completing your undergraduate degree
  • Have a good standard of English language
  • Commit to return to your home country (country of award) for at least two years after completing your Masters degree
  • Meet Chevening's full eligibility criteria
  • The majority of our taught Masters programmes are eligible for this award.

Exclusions:

  • Hull York Medical School courses;
  • MSc Nursing (all routes);
  • MA Social Work;
  • MA Public Policy (Mundus MAPP);
  • MPA Comparative Applied Social and Public Policy, Evaluation and Research;
  • MA Stained Glass Conservation and Heritage Management;
  • LLM Professional Legal Practice (SQE 1 and SQE 2);
  • Postgraduate Certificate courses, including PGCE programmes;
  • Masters by research degree programmes;
  • PhD programmes;
  • Distance and online learning courses;
  • International Pathway College;
  • Partnership and exchange students (including visiting students)

You should apply for a full-time Masters course at York before applying for this scholarship. However, Chevening do not require you to have received an offer letter from York by the initial 6 October
