Description
The scheme is open to athletes from any sport studying at the Canterbury or Medway campuses. Financial support and specialist sporting services are provided annually, with enhanced funding available to athletes competing nationally and internationally.
Benefits
Financial support of up to £1000 per year (up to £5000 per year is available to Elite Sports Scholars).
Eligibility
- Scholarships are available to outstanding student athletes from any sport who compete (at least) at county level or equivalent
- Elite Scholars are expected to be representing nationally and competing internationally in their sport
- Sports Scholars should be committed to representing the University of Kent in British University & College Sport (BUCS) competition and join their relevant student club
- Sports Scholarships are open to new international and domestic undergraduate and postgraduate applicants, as well as current University of Kent students
- We also have a bespoke offer for Kent and Medway Medical School students
- Sports Scholarships are not available to International students who are taking a foundation year
