Description

The means-tested award is designed to improve access to the UCL LLM for applicants experiencing financial hardship who have outstanding academic achievements and a serious intention to progress to doctoral studies.

Eligibility

To be eligible for this scholarship, you must:

  • Have submitted a complete application (including reference).
  • Be in financial hardship and be unable otherwise to afford to study the LLM
  • Have attended a non-fee-paying state-funded school or educational institution (students who have attended a fee-paying junior or senior school/educational institution at any time are not eligible to apply)
  • Be eligible for ‘Home’ (UK) fee status and be a UK domicile
  • Have not previously completed a Master’s degree or equivalent (in any subject)
  • Show prior outstanding academic achievement demonstrating potential to excel on UCL’s LLM
  • Show evidence of a serious intention to use their LLM as a stepping stone to doctoral studies.
