The Naughton & Clift-Matthews Mathematics Scholarship supports a UK student in financial need undertaking an eligible full-time Master’s programme in the UCL Department of Mathematics.

Description

The scholarship is available to prospective Home students applying for eligible postgraduate study in Mathematics. Applicants must also meet at least one additional widening-participation criterion.

Eligibility

Candidates must fulfil all of the following criteria:

  • be ordinarily resident in the UK and eligible to pay Home fee rate;
  • AND have submitted an admission application to study for a full-time MSc Mathematical Modelling, MSc Mathematics, or MSc Financial Mathematics at UCL.

In addition, candidates must meet at least one of the following eligibility criteria:

  • Identify as British Black-African or British Black-Caribbean and/or;
  • Have a household annual income under £42,875 and/or;
  • Have received an Access UCL undergraduate offer.

Applicants must first submit a complete UCL admission application, including references, and then apply through the Master’s Funding Awards process in Portico.

They must open their active admission application, select “Funding,” choose “Check and apply” under “Funds Available,” and select the relevant scholarship.

A separate scholarship application form is required for each Master’s programme for which funding is requested.
