Description
Northumbria University is proud to continue in partnership with The Kans and Kandy Charitable Trust for September.
Benefits
The Kans and Kandy Scholarship will award four students who choose to study on one of the below disciplines £2,000 during their one year degree. The money can be used to enhance the overall learning experience.
Eligibility
To be eligible for the Kans and Kandy Scholarship you must:
- Be a UK/Home applicant with 'Home' fee status - This includes students domiciled in Jersey, Guernsey, The Channel Islands, Ireland and Isle of Man
- Apply to study on one of the above one year Full-Time programmes* commencing in September 2026 at the Newcastle Upon Tyne campus
- Meet the terms and conditions and accept your offer
- Be a self-funded student
- Not have fees which are paid in full or in part through a sponsorship arrangement, i.e. employer funded

There is a competitive selection process for this scholarship scheme. Applicants need to apply via online written application; a selection panel will consider all eligible applications. In no more than 3000 characters (500 words), please answer the following question; What are your career aspirations and how would The Kans and Kandy Scholarship help you achieve these? - Applications will be considered on the strength of response.
The successful applicant will be notified once the evaluation panel has met, by no later than Friday 25 September 2026.
