Description

Durham University  can support you financially if you are admitted to one of its study programmes as an international student.

Durham University awards scholarships, bursaries, tuition fee reductions and discounts that help you cover existing tuition and living costs. 

Benefits

£4,000.00 per academic year of which:

£2,500.00 is to be used for tuition/residential costs

£1,500.00 is to be used for internships/international experience/Wider Student Experience.

Eligibility

  • Have a household income below £42,875.00 as determined by Student Finance

  • Permanently resident in one of the following postcode regions; CA, DH, DL, LA, NE, SR, TS.

  • Please note that preference will be given to applicants in CA and LA postcode regions.

1.         a completed scholarship application form

2.        A reference from one of your teachers in support of your scholarship application to be sent by email to scholarship.application@durham.ac.uk. Please ensure your referee submits the reference on letter headed paper or from a school e-mail account which contains:

  • their name
  • position
  • contact details
  • your full name

Referee Guidance:

1     Please explain how academically engaged the student is

2     Please provide information on any activities the student takes part in either in or out of school

3     Please provide any additional information you think would be helpful.

3.       a copy of your Student Finance England assessment letter detailing your maintenance loan entitlement to be sent by email
