Description
The scholarship aims to increase participation in postgraduate education among students from groups that are underrepresented in higher education and within King's College London.
It is available for selected Master's programmes in the School of Education, Communication & Society and is awarded based on academic potential and merit within the context of the applicant's educational and socio-economic background.
Benefits
£4,000 tuition fee scholarship.
Eligibility
Applicants must:
- Be classified as a Home fee-paying student.
Apply for one of the eligible Master's programmes, including:
Education MA
- Education in Arts & Cultural Settings MA
- Education, Policy & Society MA
- Educational Leadership & Management MA
- Language and Cultural Diversity MA
- Teaching English to Speakers of Other Languages (TESOL) MA
Meet at least one widening participation criterion, such as:
- Being from an underrepresented ethnic group (e.g. Black, Gypsy/Roma/Traveller, LatinX).
- Having received Free School Meals.
- Being a first-generation university student.
- Being care-experienced, estranged, a forced migrant, a carer, or homeless/sofa surfing.
- Having an eligible disability.
- Being from a low-income background.
