Description

The Captain Tasos Politis Scholarship, generously funded by City St George's Alumni Ambassador George Politis in memory of his father, aims to help talented writers who might otherwise be unable to afford a place on The Novel Studio.

The scholarship covers the full course fee, and two scholarships are awarded each year. Selection is based on literary talent, financial need, and commitment to developing as a novelist.

Eligibility

Applicants must:

  • Have applied for The Novel Studio and meet its admission requirements.

  • Submit a statement outlining their commitment to developing as a novel writer.
  • Employees of City St George's are not eligible.

2,000 words of original fiction (short story or novel extract).

A CV.A statement describing their financial situation and need.

A statement outlining their commitment to becoming a novelist.
