Description
The Change Makers Programme is a philanthropically funded initiative designed to increase access to postgraduate journalism education for students from underrepresented backgrounds. For the academic year, the programme offers:
Spotify Podcast Scholarship – for one student on the MA Podcasting programme.
Goalhanger Podcasts Bursary – for one student on either the MA Podcasting or MA Broadcast Journalism programme (students on MA Broadcast Journalism must choose the podcasting elective).
Benefits
Spotify Podcast Scholarship
£25,000, covering:
Full tuition fees.
Living costs.
Goalhanger Podcasts Bursary
£5,000 towards study and living costs.
Eligibility
Spotify Podcast Scholarship
Applicants must:
- Hold an unconditional offer for the MA Podcasting programme.
- Be a UK-based student with Home fee status.
- Come from an underrepresented community (including, but not limited to, race, ethnicity, disability, or socio-economic background).
- Demonstrate financial need.
Goalhanger Podcasts Bursary
Applicants must:
- Hold an unconditional offer for the MA Podcasting or MA Broadcast Journalism programme (with the podcasting elective).
- Be a UK-based student with Home fee status.
- Demonstrate financial need.
