The Gabriel Aitonje Memorial Scholarship was established in memory of alumnus Gabriel Aitonje to support postgraduate students from Black, Asian, or Minority Ethnic backgrounds pursuing studies in politics, international relations, development, public policy, or social sciences at the University of Exeter.

Description

Created in memory of Gabriel Aitonje, a Politics and International Relations graduate of the University of Exeter, the scholarship aims to promote educational access and help talented students from underrepresented backgrounds achieve their academic and professional aspirations. Preference is also given to applicants from disadvantaged socio-economic backgrounds and/or those with a disability.

Eligibility

In order to be eligible to apply for the Gabriel Aitonje Memorial Scholarship you must meet the following criteria:

1. Be from a Black, Asian or Minority Ethnic background.

2. Be assessed as a Home student for fee-paying purposes.

3. Have applied for one of the following programmes:

  • MSc Social Data Science
  • MSc Public Policy
  • MA Conflict, Security and Development
  • MA International Development
  • MA International Relations
  • MA Social & Political Theory
  • MRes Social Science Research
