Description
The objective of this Award is to provide funding for HDR Candidates of Australian Aboriginal and/or Torres Strait Islander descent, to support them to pursue a Masters of Philosophy (MPhil) or Doctor of Philosophy (PhD) program, based at the National Centre for Epidemiology and Population Health (NCEPH).
Benefits
Supplementary scholarship only, to a maximum of $15,000, for an enrolled HDR Candidate. No additional benefits.

Up to two Awards will be available each year to a prospective or continuing domestic student who:
Note: An applicant may also apply for the Broom Research Award if they have applied for a HDR base stipend scholarship but have not yet learnt of the outcome. The Broom Research Award may be awarded to a candidate who has not obtained a base stipend scholarship, but only under exceptional circumstances and may be subject to submission of additional documentation for assessment.
