If you come from the EU/EEA or Switzerland, we have great news: you can study a Bachelor’s or Master’s degree for free (no tuition) at all public universities in Denmark.
But what if you’re NOT from the EU/EEA? In this case, most tuition costs will range between 3,000 and 16,000 EUR per academic year (sometimes higher). We know that’s not exactly cheap.
Still, to give you a head start, we’ve looked at the Danish universities that charge the lowest tuition to non-EU/EEA citizens:

Also, consider the following aspects while searching for more affordable academic institutions in Denmark:
- In general, public universities are more affordable than private ones. However, it’s worth checking out private institutions to keep all your options open.
- We’ve created these lists based on the programmes and higher education institutions (HEI) on Mastersportal and Bachelorsportal. This means the lists don’t feature every single university. You might be able to find other affordable degrees or universities in Denmark.
- Universities can add or remove programmes periodically. If a university on these lists no longer offers an affordable degree, simply use the filters on our portals to find other universities that do.
While you’re at it, try to learn more about living costs in Denmark. These can add up quickly.
