Here is what Egyptian students have to do to get a student visa that will allow them to study in Netherlands:

After you are accepted to the university, your educational institution submits the application and applies for your MVV and student residence permit at the same time. The costs are paid through the educational institution. Your educational institution will receive the decision in a letter. You need to make an appointment at the Dutch representation is filled in on the application form to collect the MVV. You must have your biometrics taken when you collect the MVV. You must take 1 new passport photo with you. You will also provide your signature and have your fingerprints taken. When your student residence permit is ready at the IND desk, your educational institution will receive a letter. You must make an appointment to collect it.

Egyptian students will have to provide biometrics during the visa application process. Your biometrics are, basically, extra identification (e.g. fingerprinting and pictures) that countries use for security purposes.

You won't have to attend a visa interview during the application process.

The Long Stay Visa (MVV)/Residence Permit from Netherlands is valid for the course duration + 3 months. So that you can stay during your entire degree programme, you may need to renew your visa every year. If you want to stay in Netherlands after your degree is over, you will have to apply for a different visa, or a visa renewal through the immigration office.
