The Fachhochschule Westküste has been an initiative of local entrepreneurs and politicians. It was founded in 1993 and startet in rented rooms. Thus, already in 1997 the first graduates left our university.
In 2000 the university moved to the new buildings east of Heide. In 2008 already 400 beginners started their studies and nowadays more than 1100 are enrolled at the FHW.

I am having some problems in some subjects , but i manage them
Our tasks are diverse and international. The international office is working in the fore- and background in order to help students from the West Coast University of Applied Sciences (FHW), guest students or trainees from abroad to collect international experience. We are listening and trying to help according to our possibilities.
Our services include:Students and teachers alike will find all the important information on the subjects of economics and technology. The library is also available to all external interested parties.
The library is the central institution to provide students and staff members with literature and information.
To use the library service you need a library user card which you get at the issue desk.
Several Wi-Fi networks are active on campus. Please make sure your computer connects to eduroam . The eduram is also available at many other universities worldwide.
