The UAS BFI Vienna does not provide student accommodation, however Vienna is a student-friendly city and there are many different types of accommodation to choose from, like student dormitories, private rented apartments or shared apartments.
The library acts as a central point of call for our students and researchers. It has modern workspaces and is popular among students as a place to study.
The university is situated in a lively location in Vienna’s second district: the first district, with Museumsquartier and Rathausplatz just a short trip away on the U2 underground line, you can reach the Praterstern interchange in just two minutes, or take time out in the Prater park – the options are almost endless.
The university is located on three different sites. The main building is close to the U2 station Messe Prater, just a short walk from the leafy surroundings of the Prater park. You will also find the university’s main librarythere. The Media Quarter Marx site is located next to the Puls4 and Pro7 media group.
The university is great, the only thing that could be better is the exam system which is similar to schools. It makes it really hard sometimes.
It is an excellent university of applied science in Viena. I like it very much because of smalls groups that allow us to interact properly with our lectures. Furthermore, lecturers are very friendly and always have willing to help the students. One problem that I met was that as an international student, I would like to have in my curriculum German classes as well.
The teachers were very patient and ready to help anybody that was struggling or had any questions. The atmosphere in most of the classes was very pleasant. All other participants were very open to meeting new people and experiencing new things. Had a lot of fun with them. A big part of the experience was the ESN that helped us bond and organized several fun events for us...
