History
Digital4Business is a European initiative created to address the advanced digital skills gap. Developed by a consortium of higher education, industry and skills partners, it brings together universities in Sweden, Portugal, Ireland and Italy to deliver a cross-European online Master’s focused on digital technologies for business.
Education
Digital4Business focuses on advanced digital technologies for business, combining science, technology, innovation and management. The programme helps learners understand how emerging technologies can be applied in real organisational contexts to support business growth, digital transformation and competitiveness. Key areas include artificial intelligence, data science, cloud computing, cybersecurity and digital transformation, with an emphasis on practical, business-focused learning and the digital skills needed across sectors.
Research
Digital4Business brings together research-informed expertise from universities and partners across Europe, with a focus on the business application of advanced digital technologies. Key areas include artificial intelligence, data science, cloud computing, cybersecurity, digital transformation and digital innovation.
Rather than one single research group, the programme draws on the specialist strengths of its partner institutions, including research and teaching expertise from Linköping University, NOVA IMS, National College of Ireland and Università di Bologna
Career
Graduates can progress into roles such as digital transformation specialist, business analyst, AI project coordinator, cloud solutions advisor, cybersecurity and risk analyst, digital business consultant, innovation manager or technology project manager.
The programme also supports employability through dedicated career webinars, mentoring and industry-connected learning, with input from partners including The Adecco Group and LHH, helping students connect their digital skills with real labour market needs.
