SUNY Korea was established in March 2012 as the first American university system in Incheon, South Korea. In 2012, Stony Brook University which is a prestigious university that represents the SUNY system began to offer programs in South Korea as part of the Ministry of Education’s decision to serve the transnational needs for quality and global education.

SUNY Korea Student Services Team provides international student services to foster international students’ growth and help their smooth transition in SUNY Korea campus including visa and immigration services, international student events. We advise international students on their visa/immigration issues to welcome and support them to the SUNY Korea community.
There are 2 residential buildings for students on campus. The Dormitory A is a double occupancy and Family Rooms, the Dormitory B is a single occupancy type. These two buildings can accommodate up to 2,000 students.
The SUNY Korea Library is a modern, bookless library designed to inspire creativity and support academic excellence. Located on the 2nd and 3rd floors of Academic Building A.The library features 4 group study rooms, a reading lounge, and 156 individual study zones, providing the perfect space for study, collaboration, and imagination.
The campus features modern facilities including a large central building with well-equipped classrooms and laboratories, a brand new campus, and offers a wide variety of student life, housing, and scholarship opportunities. The campus provides a dual-culture experience, combining American education with Korean culture and is a joint venture with Stony Brook University.
The Gymnasium includes 2 basketball courts, a handball court, a volleyball court, and a swimming pool. More than 1,000 students can enjoy using the facility at the same time. There are plenty of seats to go around for spectators to cheer on their teams. The swimming pool comes with 8 25-meter long lanes and two small pools for kids.
The Undergraduate Student Council (USC) is the student government body at SUNY Korea. The USC is made up of elected students that represent each class and department at SUNY Korea. The Undergraduate Student Council has a Senate, Executive Branch, and various special councils and groups. They advocate for improving student culture and provide various student events and initiatives.
The USC works on projects to benefit the student body such as lobbying for additional student study space, improving dormitory life, and nurturing beneficial relationships between the four IGC university student bodies and the IGC Foundation.
