History
Karatay University has been established by Konya Chamber of Commerce Education and Health Foundation as the first foundation university in Konya in accordance with the Law No. 5913 published in the Official Gazette numbered 27281 and dated 07/07/2009.

The Student Affairs Directorate of KTO Karatay University is committed to providing the best possible service to our students and alumni, using the latest information and technologies, and meeting international standards. Our Directorate aims to constantly improve its services within the framework of relevant laws and regulations, putting the satisfaction of our students first, and providing fast, complete, and reliable service.
Library services
The library is continuously expanded through collections, purchases, and donations. The resources in the library are classified according to the Library of Congress Classification System with open access. The catalog information of the materials in the library has been transferred to the electronic environment with the Yordam Library Automation Program and made available to readers online.
Medical services
The Student Health Center was established in 2012 to provide preventative health services, general health advice, guidance, and first aid to students and academic personnel. In addition to that, a full-time nurse is on duty.
Campus life
KTO Karatay University campus is one of the largest with 435,000 square meters. KTO Karatay University campus hosts sports fields, student activity areas, research laboratories, cafeterias, dining halls, guest houses, library, stationery and conference halls. Paid services such as stationery, food and beverage are offered at prices in Konya average.
Sports facilities
The university features teams in football, basketball, volleyball, futsal, table tennis, arm wrestling, athletics, swimming, archery, taekwondo, Muay Thai, chess, fencing, and e-sports. The students participate as individuals or teams in competitions and tournaments, especially those organized by the Turkish University Sports Federation.
Student clubs
KTO Karatay University is known for its active student societies each organize at least five events in an academic year. The number of student societies in the past year was 50. You are welcome to apply to open a new society or become a member of an existing student society.
