History
BISLA is an independent liberal arts college, founded in 2006, based in Bratislava and accredited in Slovakia. Also, Bratislava International School of Liberal Arts stands in the forefront of establishing a European form of liberal arts education by initiating ECOLAS, which is a network of European liberal arts colleges and programs.

Student services
The Student Council is extracurricular activity for BISLA students. It supports and enhance student life at BISLA. It annually organizes Orientation Week, Beania, Christmas Party, End-of-Semester Garden Party and many other events. To do that Student Council is also responsible for Student Fund, which is used to support any activity done by BISLA students. Council meets regularly to discuss and plan events, new members are admitted every semester.
Housing services
BISLA provides housing for international students that need accommodation. It is located downtown near BISLA, so travelling to school is very comfortable and easy.
Library services
The BISLA library offers a wide array of literature fitted to our students’ study needs. After checking out the book you want, you can either take it home or read it in the reading room, which serves to provide a suitable learning environment. Every library user receives access to an online catalog, current newspapers, magazines, journals, and audiovisual materials.
Medical services
In case of an difficult life situation, difficulties in relationships, or while dealing with any other unfavourable circumstances, students of BISLA are offered a proffesional counseling free of charge.
Campus life
BISLA’s beautiful campus is right next to the historical center of Bratislava, which offers you a real European environment and a vibrant atmosphere. You will study in English, in international classes led by excellent academics from Slovakia and around the world.
Sports facilities
Sports Society is based on the principle of group gym exercise, under the ideal conditions 2 or 3 times per week. It is designed to help the students to live healthy and balanced lives and to find time for occasional exercise, even among the pressure of school work and their other activities, which might discourage them from finding time to engage in these kinds of activities by themselves.
Student clubs
BISLA may be small, but its student life is vibrant. Students regularly form clubs and societies based on their passions, with funding available for new initiatives. Past groups have included a film society, philosophy society, culinary society, gender studies society, music production society, and a rock climbing club. If you have an idea for a new club, all you need are four students and regular meetings.
