Education
- The journey of equity, diversity and inclusion at Selkirk College began formalizing in 2018. At that time, we were finalizing Building Remarkable Futures: Strategic Plan 2019-2024. Along with Environmental Sustainability, Health & Wellness, Innovation and Reconciliation, Diversity & Inclusion was included as an institutional commitment.
- A Diversity & Inclusion Committee was established in November 2019 to guide action on this commitment with three working groups engaged in research and consultation focusing on systemic change, gender diversity in leadership and the student experience.

Why I recommend Selkirk College
I really like going to Selkirk College because it has reasonable tuition and the education is high quality. Many of the instructors are very knowledgeable and willing to help if you have any questions about the material. The only problem I have is that some of the online classes could be ran much smoother, but other than that it is a wonderful institution, and I am looking forward to finishing my degree here.
Just what I needed
Its given me the educational, professional and emotional boost to want to succeed in the field.
Small Town Feel
The university is an excellent junior college. It has many wonderful programs from theatre and music to engineering to nursing. The classes also often have options of in-person or remote. Most of the classes are relatively small, which gives you a chance to get to know everyone. The website could use a bit of work, but the environment is amazing!
