My Experience at Bejaia university
I attended University of bejaia for my Bachelor’s and master’s degrees in architecture. Overall, my experience has been mixed, and I would rate the university 2.5 out of 5. The academic content is decent, and some professors are very knowledgeable. However, the teaching methods are often outdated, and the curriculum does not always reflect current industry trends, especially in sustainable design and modern technologies. The campus has potential, but many facilities are poorly maintained. Studios and classrooms are sometimes overcrowded, and the library resources are limited. Access to updated software and digital tools is also lacking, which makes it harder to keep up with international standards. There are student clubs and activities, but they are not very active or well-organized. The campus environment can feel a little dull, and there is limited support for students who want to develop beyond academics. Unfortunately, career support is weak. Internship opportunities are scarce, and the university lacks strong connections with companies, especially international ones. Many students rely on their personal networks to find opportunities. The university has strengths in certain areas, but the lack of modern resources, limited student engagement, and weak career services make it less competitive compared to other universities. With major improvements, it could offer a much better experience.
