Shahid Chamran University of Ahvaz

After being admitted in Shahid Chamran University of Ahvaz, international students can benefit from the accommodation provided for non-Iranian students. The university has 12 dormitory blocks to provide housing for female students, and 6 dormitory blocks for accommodation of male students. All bedrooms are equipped with amenities such as a bed, a refrigerator, and a cooling system. There are also tables and chairs for studying. Recently, the air conditioning system of the dormitories have been renewed, and the rooms are air conditioned all year long in hot and cold seasons. They can also have access to the Internet in their rooms through WiFi or fiber-optic connections.

In this regard, the first entrance exam was administered in 1977 which led to the admission of 12 students out of 69. In 1977, the Central Library's treasury included 5648 books in English and 5122 in Persian. In the same year, the Center for Documentation and Books of the University had 18 libraries, all of which were governed by those libraries. 

With the help of a medical team (general practitioners, dentists, registered nurses, and midwives), the University's Center for Health and Medical Care is ready to provide health and medical services to the entire academic community.
