History
Our University, named after the Hero of Pleven, Gazi Osman Pasha, in accordance with the 24th article of the Law No. 3837 dated 03.07.1992 and the Law No. was established. The name of our university was changed to "Tokat Gaziosmanpaşa University" in accordance with the "Law on the Amendment of Higher Education Law and Some Laws and Decrees", which entered into force on May 18, 2018.

Tokat Gaziosmanpaşa University is on the Tokat-Turhal highway, 9 km from the city center of Tokat. away from Taşlıçiftlik Campus, Ali Şevki Erek Campus in the city center, Continuing Education Research and Application Center and 8 districts.
