Regarding UIU cse department
Spending four years at UIU’s CSE department has been quite a journey, to say the least. On one hand, the faculty is definitely the highlight; most professors but not all of them are incredibly knowledgeable and they really push you to understand the core concepts rather than just memorizing code. The campus environment is decent not the best but not worst either also makes a big difference in how you feel while studying also well-maintained. However, it’s not all smooth sailing. The pressure here is intense, and the grading system feels a bit too rigid at times. There’s less opportunities for those who aren’t at the very top of the class to get noticed, and the workload can honestly be soul-crushing during midterms. Also, the tuition fees keeps rising, which is a major concern for many of us. You’ll definitely get a pretty decent education that the industry respects, but you have to be prepared to sacrifice your social life. Between all the private universities in Dhaka, UIU stands out for its academic rigor, even if the administration can be a bit bureaucratic sometimes. It’s a balanced experience—great for learning, but definitely a test of your patience and your wallet.
Bachelor’s Journey at UIU
I completed my BSc in Computer Science & Engineering at United International University from July 2021 to July 2025. The university offers a good balance of theoretical and practical learning. The faculty are knowledgeable and supportive, and the lab and library facilities are sufficient for most courses. Campus life is friendly, and administrative staff are generally helpful. While the tuition fee is relatively high, the overall academic experience and exposure make it worthwhile.
