Undergraduate Degree at Ashoka University
Overall, my experience at ashoka was enriching and I would recommend it to anyone looking for a rigorous, liberal arts education at the undergraduate level. Given that I had completed the International Baccalaureate Diploma Programme (IBDP) before ashoka, ashoka was a smooth, next natural step for me, in terms of educational pedagogy. The key factor that attracted me to ashoka was their commitment to interdisciplinary and critical thinking that allowed me to study my chosen major (economics and finance) not in isolation, but in conversation with various other academic disciplines. Critical thinking is deeply embedded in ashoka's pedagogy. It has developed my ability to be self-reflexive, questions ideas and institutions around me and form complex and coherent arguments. The focus on reading, writing, and communicating academic literature was an added advantage that has made me a confident scholar.
