The journey of my Bachelors
My bachelor’s degree was a challenging and rewarding experience that helped me grow both academically and personally. The program strengthened my foundation in key subjects and encouraged me to think critically, solve problems independently, and work responsibly under deadlines. I also improved important skills such as research, communication, teamwork, and time management through assignments, presentations, and group projects. The learning environment supported discipline and continuous improvement, and it motivated me to aim higher in my studies. Overall, this degree has prepared me well for further education and future career opportunities, and it has shaped my confidence as a dedicated learner.
A Reflective Review of my University Experience
My experience in university has been both intellectually demanding and personally transformative. Studying Psychology has introduced me to various psychological theories and research methods, but it has also changed my way of viewing and understanding human behaviour and emotions. One of the aspects I value the most is how I developed my critical thinking ability. Another significant growth was my development as an independent learner. Psychology required me to engage extensively with academic literature, which strengthened my research skills and ability to synthesise complex information. Over time, i became more confident in forming my own academic voice, particularly when linking theory to lived experiences and broader social contexts. However, my experience also revealed areas for improvement, such as the path I developed my critical thinking ability. It has been a journey for me to come to this place I am in right now. At first, I struggled so much in that area. It has been challenging, but it was worth it. These experiences have not only prepared me for further academic studies but also have reinforced my motivation to contribute meaningfully to the field of psychology through thoughtful and critically informed work.
SLIIT Life
I truly love SLIIT for its excellent lecture delivery, well-structured modules, and positive student culture. The lecturers explain concepts clearly and make learning engaging, while the modules are organized in a way that really supports both understanding and practical application. What stands out the most is the student culture — it’s friendly, supportive, and motivating. Being in such an environment makes studying enjoyable and helps students grow both academically and personally. Overall, SLIIT is a great place to learn, connect, and build a strong future.
