Studying Cybersecurity in Kenya
I am a graduate student with a degree in Computer Security and Forensics. This is a relatively new course in Kenya and that's what makes it quite interesting. Kenya has shown a growing interest in the tech world, and many would argue that it is the tech hub of Africa. I would argue the same because of the experiences I got to experience during my studies. I learnt about securing the data in the digital world from cybercriminals, preventing data breaches and ensuring a secure hygiene in organizations and also in our personal lives. We held events in which we'd network and interact with my peers, sharing ideas and innovations that would transform the tech space. Improvements that need to be made would include leveraging AI into the Cybersecurity space, this includes threat detection and automation.
