Approximately 80 percent of SZABIST students are benefitting from some sort of financial assistance each year.. SZABIST offers a wide range of scholarships to its students, which include SZABIST Need-Based, SZABIST Merit-Based, Sindh Endowment Fund, Balochistan Endowment Fund, Khyber Pakhtunkhwa Endowment Fund, HEC-USAID Merit and Need -Based, National Information and Communication Technology, Ihsan Trust’s Qarz-e-Hasna Bank Facility, and Various Community/ Sponsored Scholarships.

Research

SZABIST has various research centers: SZABIST Center for Biosciences Research (SCBR), Sustainable Development Research Center (SDRC), and the Sindh Abhyas Academy (SAA), a regional studies center dedicated to research on myriad aspects of Sindh. SZABIST strongly encourages research activity.

Start to My University Journey.

My first semester at university has been great. It introduced me to a new academic environment that challenges to think critically and creatively at the same time. The coursework wasn't that engaging but professors helped me stay focused and involved from the very beginning. The faculty are supportive and approachable, creating positive learning environment that encourages confidence. Working with peer wasn't that easy, but it was a valuable experience. looking ahead to pursue opportunities abroad, where I hope to gain broader exposure and further strengthen my studies. . Overall, the first semester has been a strong foundation for my academic journey.

The university offers a fair academic experience

I really liked the supportive faculty, diverse academic opportunities, and the vibrant student community that made learning engaging. However, campus facilities and administrative services could be improved for a smoother experience. Overall, my study journey was enriching, offering both personal and professional growth while preparing me for future challenges.

Student services

SSC oversees the functioning of all societies and clubs. Not only this, but also students come together in times of national crises and disasters and are actively involved with raising funds for various causes (for example, flood relief drives).

Library services

Library has a collection of more than 15000 books in print forms related to the academic programs. These books cover all the major subjects catering to needs of students, researchers and faculty members. For example: Management Sciences, Media Science, Computer Science, Mechatronics, Law, Bioscience, Social Science, English, and Education.

ICT services

SZABIST is equipped with modern state-of-the-art computing facilities with round the clock high bandwidth connectivity to the internet. Moreover, Wi-Fi is enabled in both 90 and 100 Clifton Campuses; which allows the students with Wi-Fi enabled devices to access all network resources through wireless connectivity during their stay at these campuses.

Campus life

SZABIST Islamabad Campus believes in diversity and welcomes a diverse community of students through Pakistan. During your studies at SZABIST Islamabad, you will get the best available education from a very well educated faculty and you will have access to modern tools/equipment. SZABIST Islamabad has a modern library with a variety of books and students can access the library through on-line.

Accreditation

The Chartered Inspection and Evaluation Committee (CIEC) in their latest evaluation rated SZABIST as an “Outstanding” institution by awarding it “6 Stars”, the highest ranking; SZABIST has been ranked Six Stars continuously from 2008-2012. Mechatronic Engineering department has been rated as “World Class” and has been awarded “7 Stars”, whereas Departments of Management Sciences, Computing, Social Sciences, Media Sciences and Biosciences have been individually rated as “Outstanding”.
