History
Sri Venkateswara University, a premier institution in the area of Teaching and Research in the country, was established by an act of State Universities in 1954.
Education
The University was started with six departments of Chemistry, Physics, Mathematics, Botany, Zoology, Economics and Philosophy. The University has 4 constituent colleges concerning various conventional and advanced subjects, in order to provide good academic and smooth administrative service to one and all. The University has 54 departments, where in 72 different PG Courses and several Diploma and Certificate courses are being run with a total academic faculty strength of around 400 and 1500 non-teaching and a student strength of 5000, including research scholars.

About the life in college
I was actually studied in the affiliated college(Sree Bharati Degree College) of Sri Venkateswara University, the study plans, syllabus are more theoretical but they were also some practical applications of them. The college atmosphere was good the lecturers were very helpful and the quality of education was also really good. I have done two internships in my college time and they helped me to improve my social skills and practical knowledge of the subjects. Overall I had a great experience studying there on both on campus and online.
HEAVEN
Course curriculum is very good but still some course to be added like android and about industrial exposure is not well provided and about faculties they have some brilliant but also they have some screen readers. Our college as said is one of the prestigious colleges in the state and there is an e cell in our college,club capitalize which is very successful and organizes and even know as enantra every year. No, in our college they will not provide any internship we will be doing in house projects.if the project is good , then they will try to make a paper on that project and submit it to the project committee. Faculties were very good and they are more knowledgeous.they treat us in friendly manner and helped us to gain more knowledge.there are genius in their field as well. Water was an issue and living arrangements were strained as there were 6 people in the room but friends were many and good. Life at the guindy campus was the most beautiful one with a lot of great memories with a good bunch of friends.

Eco-friendly environment
This University is good. If you find a certified courses, go for it. Environment is very good and eco-friendly. Professors and stuffs are cooperative. This University give you courses in a very reasonable price. In short this University offers you courses at low cost. It is mainly situated in suburban area. But the development of the University is very fast. So many study areas were added. Canteens facility is good.

Housing services
The Sri Venkateswara University College Hostels for Women comprises of I and II Premises with 9 Blocks which accommodate all categories of Women Students admitted into the four constituent Colleges of S.V. University. The Hostel is run on no loss, no profit basis. Sri Venkateswara University College Hostels for Men's , There are ten Blocks viz. A, B, C, D, E, F, G, H,I and S. Janardhan Bhavan which accommodate the students and research scholars of the constituent colleges of Arts, Sciences and commerce, Management & Computer Science.
Library services
The University Library, centrally situated and easily accessible to all the departments on the campus has steadily grown over the years and it has 3,68,315 documents as on 31st March, 2014. The collection of the library includes textbooks, reference books, general books, gift books, reports, back volumes of journals, M.Phil., & Ph.D., dissertations and e-documents.

With a seating capacity of 2500, it is a fabulous place for conducting conferences, meetings, functions, cultural activities etc.
