Since its foundation, Benha University has sought to maintain a   distinguished position in the Egyptian higher education system and to participate effectively in the comprehensive development projects and the challenges facing the society. This has been clearly emerged during the many stages that the university has experienced throughout the tenure of its former presidents and deputies.

History

  • Benha University was a branch of Zagazig University since 1976 by Presidential decree No.1142 in November, 25, 1976. It included five faculties (Agriculture in Mochtohor – Engineering in Shubra – commerce, medicine and education in Benha).
  • The Faculty of Agriculture, founded in 1911, which is considered one of the oldest faculties of agriculture in Egypt.

Benha university is a very great place to learn and pursue education. The university is ranked 8 among Egypt's public and private universities. I really enjoyed learning there, not only learned about academics yet non-academic as well. Moreover, with thousands of students studying in this university, it widens my insight about dealing with different kind of people. I...
