Lviv Polytechnic National University is the oldest technical higher educational institution in Ukraine and East Europe. It was founded in 1816. University consists of 16 institutes, 114 departments; autonomous, additional and general subdivisions.
Lviv Polytechnic National University trains students in 16 research-educational institutes, there students from Ukraine and other countries are enrolled in 64 bachelor programmes (first cycle of higher education) and 124 specialties (second cycle programmes), 123 out of which are master programmes. There are over 2,200 faculty members, 320 of whom hold the degree of Doctor of Science and over 1200 — the degree of Doctor of Philosophy. Modern teaching laboratories and computing laboratories with Internet access enable courses to be kept up to date and taught to a high standard.
From its early establishment Lviv Polytechnic has proved to be a powerful center of science and education in Europe, the generator of technical ideas and inventions. Based on many years of theoretical and experimental activities at the University were developed the scientific schools that are well known in Ukraine and abroad. They have leading positions in Ukraine in the following scientific and technical areas: nanomaterials and nanotechnology, new materials and technologies; energy- and resource-saving technologies; basic research of the most important natural, social and human sciences; advanced computer systems and information technology; instrumentation and measuring equipment.
To implement the concept of educational and career guidance, the University successfully practices new forms of cooperation with potential applicants, their parents and civil society in general.

Great university! Get comprehensive knowledge from the best teachers. When I had e.g math subject, I was inspired learning it by teachers, because they knew and loved their subjects. I got a lot of professional skills thanks to the teachers, most of them were working in the field they were teaching, so it was very informative and up-to-date
I really liked the organization of training when we had online lectures and practical classes in classrooms, it was very convenient, because you could spend your time more efficient. I liked some of the teachers and their approach to teaching. It is possible to improve the quality of the work of the center of international education, because it was not always possible to get a comprehensive answer when contacting them. Overall, my learning experience was good.

The campus is a unit of Lviv Polytechnic University and governed by the current legislation of Ukraine, the standard provisions of the dormitories/residence halls of the institution of the Ministry of Science and Education of Ukraine, the Lviv Polytechnic Statute and the Regulation on campus.

13 dormitories (one of which is suitable for families) form a domestic complex where more than 8 thousand students and postgraduates live, study and have a rest. There are 3 sports-grounds and gyms, conditions for service of students are created, the student’s clinic is located on the territory and the Student’club works.
Dormitories of Lviv Polytechnic National University are only for non-resident students, postgraduates, doctoral students (further-students), and also students from among orphans and children deprived of parental care, on condition of absence of other place of residence, only for the period of study.
Lviv Polytechnic Sports Club is a structural subdivision of Lviv Polytechnic National University , which promotes the development of physical culture and sports at the university and a healthy lifestyle of young people.
