Esslingen University of Applied Sciences can look back on a dynamic history – our roots go back to the 19th century. Founding of the "School of Mechanical Engineering" at the Royal School of Construction in Stuttgart was made in 1868.
Esslingen University of Applied Sciences carries out numerous research projects with renowned partners into forward-looking topics for the economy and society. The International Office is a central institution of the Esslingen University of Applied Sciences and responsible for all international affairs. We are the first contact for German and international students, for teachers and staff as well as for guests of the university.
The Stuttgart Students Union administers the student flats in Esslingen and Goeppingen. Application forms for and information on the individual student flats can be found on the Stuttgart Students Union website.
The Computer Centre manages over 220 servers, central IT services and applications. It is responsible for availability, reliability, security and innovation in the central IT infrastructure. Networking between all areas of the University is managed by the Computer Centre.
On the Esslingen city centre campus, students study and carry out research in the faculties of Natural Sciences, Automotive Engineering, Building Services-Energy-Environment, Basic Sciences and Mechanical Engineering.
On the Esslingen hilltop campus, Flandernstrasse, students study and carry out research in the faculties of Management, Graduate School, Information Technology, as well as Social Work, Health Care and Nursing Science. The campus also has the University’s library, Computer Center, sports facilities, child-care center and cafeteria (Mensa).
On the Goeppingen campus of Esslingen University of Applied Sciences, students study and do research in the faculties of Mechatronics and Electrical Engineering.
The school has an excellent location very close to the center of Stuttgart, and very well connected with cities as important as Frankfurt or Munich.
