About
History
In the 19th century, the University of Applied Sciences of Trier used to have two institutions in the middle of Trier, at the Paulusplatz and the Irminienfreihof, the School of Trade and the School of Arts. As early as 1830, the School of trade was dedicated to the education of architects and construction engineers.
Education
Considering this wide range of international employment opportunities on our doorstep, we offer a diverse selection of degree programmes in technology, business, law, design and computer science. Sustainability and environmental awareness are at the core of the degree programmes at the Environmental Campus Birkenfeld where around 2,200 of our students study. This also encouragesan intensive and interdisciplinary cooperation between different disciplines there. More than 50 students are enrolled in the Fine Arts degrees of gemstone and jewellery design at our campus in Idar-Oberstein (Bachelors and Masters).

Housing services
In Trier there are numerous halls of residence, some of them run by the Studierendenwerk, where you can find a cheap apartment or room. The Studiwerk also offers a private accommodation service where you can find apartments and rooms in the city.
Library services
The library at the University of Applied Sciences Trier advises students, teaching staff and employees of the university on all questions concerning the library. It offers single or group training on topics like using the electronic card index, data bases, interlending, literature administration programs and academic research and writing skills.

The university is well equiped with the necessary tools to aid the students in their day to day studies, however for my particular course, the course structure is a bit all over the place hence maing it difficult to find my footing

My study experience is that this course of study is diverse and it is not specific. It becomes a problem to many full time students who have the background in Science and not Business. On the other hand, students with the background in Business courses like Accounting often find it very difficult in studying courses like Physics, Chemistry and other science course.
