In view of the growing European economic area and increasing globalisation, the ability to speak English well is becoming ever more important in professional life. The international degree programs at Ulm University of Applied Sciences notably take these developments into account. At least 50 per cent of the lectures take place in English.

Services
Housing services
The Students' Union student halls of residence offer particularly suitable and reasonably-priced accommodation. They have different layouts, locations and facilities. Suitable accommodation is also offered for students with children and for students with disabilities.
There is no application deadline or close of applications for student halls of residence. Therefore, we advise you to apply as early as possible in order to get a room in one of the halls of residence. You can find detailed information on the halls of residence in Ulm, as well as an online application form, at the Studierendenwerk (Students' Union).
Library services
Our library collection includes about 50,000 books, journals, newspapers and data carriers. We provide access to databases for specialist literature, standards and training videos, as well as around 80,000 eBooks and 10,000 eJournals via campus licence. You can visit training courses, helping library members to use our constantly-updated stock effectively.

Campus life
Sometimes foggy in winter, but therefore even more lovely in summer, and with 120,000 inhabitants it is just the right size to feel quickly at home. That's Ulm.Numerous cultural and leisure activities are on offer, in a compact area.Ulm has it all – from hip-hop concerts, theater performances, pubs and live basketball games.And best of all, if you live close to the city center, nearly all the event locations can be reached comfortably on foot.Thanks to the excellent public transport network, even students who live in the suburbs are able to enjoy the nightlife in Ulm.
Sports facilities
Alongside private sports such as jogging, rollerblading or playing football, as a student at Ulm University of Applied Sciences, you also have the opportunity to participate in the diverse range of sports offered by Ulm University. Fitness gymnastics, basketball, yoga or self-defense courses – Ulm University offers all this and much more.
