• It fosters informal and colloquial get-togethers in a relaxed atmosphere and has become a vital part of the institute.

• Daily, two freshly cooked menues are offered. Additional soup and salads satisfy the smaller appetite. A big variety of coffee specialties rounds off lunch break.

• The Max Planck Institute of Immunobiology and Epigenetics (MPI-IE) offers child care premises located right next to the institute. The facility is run by Concept Maternel, a well-respected non-profit organization which runs several child care facilities and a primary school in Freiburg.

The library of the Max Planck Institute of Immunobiology and Epigenetics (MPI-IE) was established to supply the scientists with literature and information.

The collection focuses on the fields of research covered by the different research groups of the MPI-IE. The library can be found on the ground floor of Bldg. IV and is open around the clock in order to ensure our academic staff full access.

The IT Service supports personnel in questions related to computers, phones or printers, including fast help for all kinds of hard- and software problems, providing guidance for purchasing decisions, and the maintenance of a well-performing and reliable server infrastructure and network.
