History
In 1975 there was an agreement to set up the Hamburg outstation. Therefore the first EMBL outstation is signed.

Microbiology Graduate
During my academic journey in microbiology, I gained a strong foundation in theory as well as practical laboratory skills. My internships at the Veterinary Research Institute, Lahore, and Water Care Services, Pakistan, allowed me to apply classroom knowledge in real-world settings, ranging from microbial analysis to water quality testing. Currently, I am expanding my expertise through training in a Saudi Arabian laboratory and water solutions facility, where I am learning advanced microbiological testing, regulatory compliance, and quality control systems.

Services provided by EMBL include:
- core biomolecular databases and bioinformatics tools, particularly at EMBL-EBI;
- the provision of beamlines, instrumentation and high-throughput technology for structural biology at the Hamburg and Grenoble oustations;
- Core Facilities, which provide cost-effective and efficient access to methods and technologies that are expensive to set up or maintain, or that require considerable expense.
